Abstract

Valves are considered to be the weakest link of a gas motor compressor design. The plate (process) valves are frequently used due to their good aerodynamic properties. However, the plate valve design is rather complex, their maintainability is low, they are highly sensitive to the pumped gas purity. The standard design of MK-8М and 10GK gas motor compressor valve has several disadvantages, among them is the resistance to gas flow, which in turn, leads to significant energy losses. To reduce these losses, it is proposed to change the shape of the valve plate.
For comparison, the values of energy loss during gas passage through valves with different forms of plates, using SolidWorks program the simulation modeling was performed. It was determined that the proposed valve plate has the advantage over the standard one. As a result of optimization of the proposed gas motor compressor valve plate, its optimal rounding radii were determined, thus, reducing energy costs for gas passing through the valve.
