Abstract

Billboard is an advertising medium installed along city streets and highways outside localities. It is characterized by a variety of designs. The advantages of using billboards in comparison with other types of advertising are that due to their large size, a huge audience of potential buyers is reached. It is important for such structures to ensure strength and reliability, because they are exposed to various factors and loads (wind, dead weight, earthquake, etc.), so accidents associated with these loads are observed quite often. It is worth noting that the loads that act on the Billboard are both static and dynamic. The article provides a simulation simulation of the design of a billboard that is under the influence of loads, which is often neglected during design – its own weight. Using the tools of the SolidWorks program, a three-dimensional model of the billboard design was developed and its mass was determined, which is almost 560 kg. During the simulation, the type of contacts of the Billboard structural elements was used – "connected", which made it possible to speed up the calculation process, but made it impossible to take into account the features of the connections of structural parts. Based on the results of the simulation, the values of movements that occur in the design of the Billboard in the case of using the support and without its use are established. It is proposed to further study the design of the Billboard, taking into account the complex of loads: wind, own weight, load from snow, earthquake, etc. Based on the results of such studies, it will be possible to analyze the possibility of optimizing the design of a billboard, for example, to reduce its weight, which, from an economic point of view, is currently a weighty argument in the design and operation of such products.
